Congratulations to the M&M Timberjacks for winning the 2011 WSFL Championship.

The Timberjacks defeated the Sheboygan County Rebels 7-0 on Saturday, handing the Rebels their first loss of the season and securing their second straight title.

The Rebels are looking to complete a perfect season, while the T-Jacks are looking to avenge their lone loss at the hands of the Rebs.  Both teams are built on defense, so this one will be a low scoring affair.  Ultimately, the home field advantage should help Sheboygan prevail, but not until after a few scares from M&M.
Prediction:  Rebels 13 - TJacks 10.

What to Watch 11-5-11

There's only two games on the schedule this weekend, and both should be great matchups.  Thus, we suggest you...

Manitowoc Mariners @ Sheboygan County Rebels.  WSFL Playoffs.  Saturday, 6PM.  Memorial Park, Sheboygan, WI.
The Mariners come in fresh off a mild upset last weekend in the form of their 13-6 win over the Kettle Moraine Titans.  The Mariners will have their hands full, however, as no one has bested the Rebels yet this season.  The closest games the Rebels played were both two touchdown wins against the Timberjacks.   Most likely, this one won't be close.  It's been a good run this season for the upstart Mariners, but it comes to a halt tomorrow.
Prediction:  Rebels 47 - Mariners 7.

Washington County Untouchables @ M&M Timberjacks.  WSFL Playoffs.  Saturday, 6PM.  Spies Field, Menominee, MI.
This one figures to be a closer battle.  This rematch of last season's Championship is going to be a doozy.  The Timberjacks' only loss was at the hands of the Rebels, and they throttled the "U" in week 6.  However, this Wash. Co. team is the WSFL's equivalent to the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles...talented and dangerous at every turn if they don't beat themselves.  Whoever takes this one will travel next week to Sheboygan (barring the sun, moon and stars aligning for Manitowoc).  We'll take home-field advantage in this one.
Prediction:  Timberjacks 31 - Untouchables 17.
