BREAKING NEWS!!!BREAKING NEWS FROM THE IFL... According to sources, league founder and CEO Chris Chudada has announced that he will be stepping aside from the league for personal reasons. It is known that Mr. Chudada is keen on coaching and has been offered the chance to coach youth at the high school level. Furthermore, he reportedly feels that he has shepherded the league to a place where it can survive without his involvement. At this point, no official announcement has been made, but sources continue to report that Mr Chudada has decided to step away. Rumored to be in the mix to step in and assist IFL Commissioner Pete Narrai and co-owner Jordan Kopac is former IFL President of Football Ops Dan Greene. Greene is currently the coach of the West Bend Junkyard Dogs and heads up the IFL Hall-of-Fame Committee. This weekend will be a busy one for WSP. On the first day of the weekend, we'll announce the AW09 Offensive Line and Special Teams winners. We'll also announce the 2009 WSPY category nominees and let you know where you can go to have your vote count. Categories that will be open for voting this year: Team of the Year Player of the Year Story of the Year Game of the Year BreakOUT Team of the Year Other categories that will not be open for public voting will include: League of the Year Website of the Year BreakTHROUGH Team of the Year Offense of the Year Defense of the Year Then, on Sunday, we'll introduce the first part of our week-long look ahead to 2010 with our list of 10 Things to watch in 2010. #10 through #6 will be posted Sunday night. Throughout the week you'll see the rest of the list, as well as 2009 in review, our predictions for 2010, and a special column from a very special guest wrapping it all together.
