| WHO ARE THE MENOMONIE THUNDERHAWKS? |

| The Menomonie Thunderhawks organization has an "interesting" history. 7 Years ago they were the "Northern Wisconsin Reapers." Then they were the Northern Wisconsin Thunderhawks playing out of Barron, WI. Then they moved to Glenwood City, WI and then on to Menomonie, WI. NOT MUCH CONSISTENCY!!! In the Thunderhawks first year in Menomonie (2009) a new owner took over the team and swept house! Coaches gone, bad attitude players gone, new start! Following the end of the 2009 season, the team name was "officially" changed to the Menomonie Thunderhawks. The Thunderhawks play in the Northern Power Football League (NPFL) and play out of Don & Nona Williams Stadium at UW-Stout Campus, a truly beautiful field and college campus. We play the best of the teams in the area, including the South Metro Dragons, Eau Claire Crush, Chippewa Valley Predators, Rochester Giants, and more! The team is comprised of the same types of players every semi-pro team has. Guys play for the fun and love of the game, some content with semi-pro ball, some looking to get to the next level. The coaching staff is fairly young coaching staff in terms of "age," but has high school state championships, college experience, and semi-pro playing experience for it's players to lean on. As we gain our foothold within the Menomonie Community we encourage you very readers to check out our website www.menomoniethunderhawks.com or if you're in the Menomonie Area this spring/summer check us out one of these Saturdays! |
