BREAKING NEWS FROM THE IFL...

According to sources, league founder and CEO Chris Chudada has announced that he will be stepping aside from the league for personal reasons.  It is known that Mr. Chudada is keen on coaching and has been offered the chance to coach youth at the high school level.  Furthermore, he reportedly feels that he has shepherded the league to a place where it can survive without his involvement.  At this point, no official announcement has been made, but sources continue to report that Mr Chudada has decided to step away.

Rumored to be in the mix to step in and assist IFL Commissioner Pete Narrai and co-owner Jordan Kopac is former IFL President of Football Ops Dan Greene.  Greene is currently the coach of the West Bend Junkyard Dogs and heads up the IFL Hall-of-Fame Committee.

IFL's Ironbowl 14 Logo Unveiled
Friday, 05 February 2010 10:11

The Ironman Football League has unveiled their 2010 logo for Ironbowl 14.  The badge sports the colors Red and White in honor of the city of Wauwatosa, who will play host this season at the renovated Hart Park.  The IFL has inked a deal with 'Tosa for 13 dates at the facility, which recently underwent a $4+ million dollar facelift.

According the the IFL, the new logo "officially puts the IFL on the clock. In order to capitalize on the continued trend of success that the Ironbowl game annually provides, the League is confident and determined to put in the necessary work to ensure that this year’s Ironbowl is an even bigger success!"  IB XIV also marks a return to the league's demographic center - the greater Milwaukee area - following two seasons away: in 2008 the Madison Mustangs hosted the Ironbowl en route to winning their first of two consecutive championships; 2009 saw the failed attempt to draw in new crowds with a destination game at Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.

As the IFL website states, "The unveiling will kick off a year-long marketing campaign by both the IFL and its member teams by which they hope to make this year’s Ironbowl the biggest yet."
